SunWIN Document Search Utility

SunWIN is a document search utility on Sun's intranet. It's purpose is to provide users with a usable means of sifting and filtering through the thousands of technical documents which are written and published each year by Sun employees and/or about Sun products. The screen captures to the right show the initial screen (top) with expanded search options and the results from a search (bottom). The screen captures below show an example of using the "browse" method of locating documents (top) and a sample document details page (bottom).

The SunWIN project was my first assignment at marchFIRST. I had barely been at the company for a week, and I didn't even fully understand all of the internal design procedures. However, with years of freelancing under my belt, I treated the project as I would any of my previous freelance projects, learned the marchFIRST way of doing things as we went along, and came out with a final product that everyone was very happy with.
