Conoco's
Business Literacy Program
(a project for Conoco University)
I was Project Lead and the primary Authorware
programmer on these lessons for Conoco, which included finding solutions
to some very tricky technical issues getting the Authorware Web Player
to communicate with a database over Conoco's intranet without using any
third-party conduits.
Each of the main menu options (shown to the right) leads to an entire
lesson, all of which are delivered over a corporate intranet using
the Authorware Web Player. The other screen capture shows Biz Quiz,
which
is a game-show-esque testing module. Part of this game's fun is in
finding the Easter Eggs which the client asked me to create. The
fire extinguisher
sprays, you can tickle the host, and there are even fireworks if you
double-click in the right place.
These lessons received the 1999 Award of Excellence from the International
Society of Performance Improvement.
